How do I pay for my course?
A 20% deposit is required to guarantee a place on either tuition or holiday weeks and can be paid by bank transfer. The remainder is due 6 weeks prior to the start date of the course/trip. Any bookings made within six weeks will require full payment to secure your place. Course bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of transferred deposits.
Deposits are strictly non refundable. Cancellations less than six weeks before the course, or failure to attend a course or holiday will mean the full payment of the place to be paid. We try and keep our course and holiday numbers sensible so as to achieve the great results that we do, therefore numbers are strictly limited.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If you decide to do your course with us in Spain, in the unlikely event of loosing a whole week’s course we will give you credit towards another course in the future. Any half days during the week lost to bad weather will be used for either lectures or exams. Obviously if you decide to train with us in the UK, completing a course can take considerably longer because of the weather conditions. So under no circumstances are refunds given due to adverse weather, however we will always try and ensure you get your course completed as quickly as the weather allows.
Are there any exams?
Yes there are a couple of multiple-choice papers. You don’t need to know any rocket science to learn to fly a paraglider but you do have to gain a basic comprehension of how gliders fly and the rules of the air. Knowledge of the weather is part and parcel of making good safe flying decisions and getting the best out of your flying. Everything you need to know will be taught to you during the course, so that you are ready for the exam.
Safety is our prime concern. We reserve the right to terminate individual flights and training courses at any time if in the opinion of our instructing staff, safety is compromised. We adhere to and enforce the strictest of safety guidelines in respect of the type and level of wing students can fly on the winch and hill at any given stage of their training. The decision of the CFI will be final.
Age and Fitness:
The minimum age to fly solo is 14 for Paragliding. For Tandem flights if you are under eighteen years of age parental consent is required. There is no upper age limit although in the interest of your own safety you must give details of any medical condition that may affect your ability in the air. If you are in any doubt, please contact your GP for advice.

All of our prices, including those advertised on our website and online shop, are subject to change without notice. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

What Insurance do i need?
You will need to have a current E111 or what is now European Health Card (from any UK Post office) and medical and repatriation insurance if you decide to learn or fly abroad with us.
Our tried and tested recommendation is JS Insurance, they offer great cover for a range of activity for as little as 23 pounds per week or 100 pounds for the year. It is essential that you have both these items, as without them you will be unable to undertake the course or holiday.
The BHPA support us with an almost negligible liability. So we strongly recommend that you also have a personal accident policy, its worth having if your employment doesn’t cover sickness cover, in the event of any possible injuries and your families peace of mind (Generally available from your bank or most financial advisors).
Please bring all relevant policy details with you.
